Please ignore the contents of the label of the can, and focus on how reality (or a substitute thereof) reacts with it. I tried to show that the can existed in a room, and wasn't floating in space.
On a side note, the label reads, "The best way to accelerate your MS Windows computer is at 9.81 M/s^2"
I thought it was rather funny.
Modeling and rendering was done in Newtek Lightwave, some other work was done in Photoshop. I had six lights, but the quality of the reflection in the can comes not from the light sources, but from spherical reflection mapping. You can have as many lights as you want, but a reflection won't believable unless it is actually reflecting something.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features brand new selected high quality art products that caught our eyes. Check out the cutting edge prints some of your fellow artists have submitted in the past week!
The overall theme of this contest is 'Life', but most importantly, your biggest reason why you love life. Too frequently are we met with complaints, arguments, sadness... and more in between, so we would like you to portray something a little bit more upbeat, happy; something that makes you smile and feel warm, inside.
So, take a photograph of something that makes you giddy with joy, something that you enjoy, something that you may take for granted. Perhaps you can ask yourself what things you love in life, or what things you love about life, it's all up to you in how you interpret and portray this theme!
#ObscuredPhotos is a photography group dedicated to exposing obscured (unknown, underappreciated, etc.) photography. It doesn't matter where you are at in terms of skill; if you are underappreciated and you feel you deserve more recognition, you've come to the right place!
This article features all of the deviations submitted in the past week, as well as Theme 5 – In the Home. Feel free to have a browse! You never know, but you may find something you like.
